LEWISTON – The wedding of Sarah Jane Riekert and Clayton Russell Pelletier was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14 at the Bates College Chapel. Pastor Allen Austin officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Pelletier is the daughter of Charles and Susan Riekert of Jay. Mr. Pelletier is the son of Lionel and Christine Pelletier of Livermore Falls.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown in silk organza over satin with A-line skirt, the bodice accented with silver embroidery and Swarovski crystal beading with an elaborately embellished dropped waist. The slight A-line skirt was adorned with Swarovski crystal beading and silver embroidered scroll motif along the double band of silver embroidery hem and Cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of red and cream colored roses.

Celina Daniell attended as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Desarae Olsen, Stefanie Bor and Kimberly Poisson, friends of the bride, and Anne Harvell, cousin of the bride. Hannah Daniell, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Serving as best man for his brother was Kenneth Pelletier and ushers were Jason Labbe and Derrick Pomeroy, friends of the bridegroom, Jacob Riekert, brother of the bride, and Brandon Pelletier, nephew of the bridegroom. Jaden Castonguay, friend of the couple, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Maui in Hawaii. They are residing in Livermore.

At the reception, the brother of the bride composed and performed a song for the couple.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Jay High School and a 2002 graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree as a registered nurse. She is employed in the Medical-Surgical Unit at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and is employed at International Paper in Jay.
