DENMARK – A Massachusetts woman died in a truck crash on Mountain Road at about 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Cara Donlon, 31, of Westwood, Mass., was thrown from the cab of her 1988 Dodge pickup in the wreck, according to a dispatcher at the State Police barracks in Gray.
Donlon, who was driving, wasn’t wearing a seat belt, said the dispatcher while reading from an initial accident report.
Three passengers in the truck escaped from the crash unharmed, the dispatcher added.
Police were continuing their investigation into what caused the wreck. Trooper Tyler Stevenson, who heads the investigation, noted in his preliminary report that there was sand and water on the road near where the crash occurred.
Mountain Road runs along the west side of Moose Pond from Route 302 near Shawnee Peak.
