NORWAY – The town’s overall proposed budget, including municipal, county and school portions, is 11.6 percent more than last year’s. However, it does not account for anticipated revenues, which will reduce the property tax increase to 1.8 percent in 2005-06.
This year’s town share of the school budget has increased $78,949, to an expected $2.7 million. The town’s share of the county budget has increased $6,222 for 2005-06.
Some budget figures were incorrect in a story on B1 in Friday’s Oxford Hills edition.
