OTISFIELD – The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church annual scholarship fund-raising craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 23 at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Tables are available for rent by any interested craftspeople who would like to sell their crafts and support the endeavor to raise funds for another scholarship. The price of renting a table is low.

4-H is open

PARIS – Oxford County 4-H recruits new 4-H leaders and clubs each fall for the coming year. Four-H is open to all young people age 5 to 18. Clubs can be designed to be as flexible as needed by the leaders and members. Clubs can have as few as five members and they can be boys and girls. Meetings can be as frequent as once a week or as few a once a month. There are no local, county, state or federal dues. There are no required fund-raisers.

The clubs can focus on specific topics, such as photography, drama, arts, craft works, rocketry, animals, small business and entrepreneurship skills, travel or exchanges.

Four-H is the youth development program of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Volunteers are covered by liability insurance at no cost to them individually. The Extension provides training, support, publications and resources.
