BETHEL – The final “Local Knowledge Series” lecture will be presented by the Mahoosuc Land Trust at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the Trustee’s Auditorium, McLaughlin Science Center, Gould Academy.

Jennifer Loomis, a local wildlife photographer, will speak on Eastern and Mountain bluebirds.

Bluebirds have touched her life since a child and one of her bluebird photographs won the Nature’s Best International Photography Award. Those who attend will see her photography, get plans to build a bluebird house and see a nest with eggs.

Loomis lives in Greenwood and has had her photographs printed in National Geographic, Audubon and National Wildlife magazines. Her second book, “Wildlife in the Rocky Mountains,” is due out in May, and her calendar of local loons will be sold internationally. At the end of the program she will show some of her loon photographs and tell tales. The lecture is free to the public.
