PARIS – The Finnish American Heritage Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at the Heritage Center on Maple Street, West Paris. After the business meeting, Mikael Heikkinen, 9, of Auburn, will speak about publishing his book, “Victor’s Tour de Force.” A potluck lunch will be held at 1 p.m. A coffee social will follow and all are welcome.

Screening set

OXFORD – Children 5 years old by Oct. 15 may attend a screening for next year’s kindergarten from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 4. Call the Oxford Elementary School at 539-4456 to make an appointment for that day and to pre-register the child. Parents will need to provide a birth certificate and shot records.
