LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met April 11 at Murray Hall with 34 members present.

Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces.

Mary Groleau led the group in singing “How Great Thou Art.” Those on the sick list included Maggie Dufour at Maine Medical Center, Joan Lauzier, who was in the hospital but is now home, and Joan Knapp, who will have knee surgery. Marie Gagnon was welcomed back and a card of thanks from Cindy Hebert was read.

Couture reported that Don Spear had called to let the group know that he had undergone a quadruple bypass and would not be able to entertain the group this month as previously planned.

However, he said that he would like to do that in the fall and would keep in touch in order to schedule a date.

The group will not meet on May 2 since IP will use the hall on that day. Couture read an amusing story brought in by Joyce Richards. The 50-50 was won by Eugene Roy. The meeting was adjourned and the group held the monthly Chinese Auction followed by cards.
