Sandra Oh wants divorce

LOS ANGELES (AP) – “Sideways” co-star Sandra Oh has filed for divorce from husband Alexander Payne, who directed and co-wrote the film.

Oh, 34, filed a petition for divorce Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court and asked for spousal support. She and Payne, 44, were married in January 2003 and have no children, court records said.

The couple met five years ago and announced their separation last month.

Payne won an Oscar for the screenplay of “Sideways,” about two friends’ wine-tasting trip through Santa Barbara County vineyards. He also directed “Election,” “About Schmidt” and “Citizen Ruth.”

Oh stars in ABC’s television series “Grey’s Anatomy” and is maybe best known for her role on HBO’s ‘Arliss.”

Britney’s publicist just doesn’t know

In the wake of Britney Spears’ announcement that she’s pregnant, several tabloids printed stories claiming the pop star was expecting a girl – but the rumors aren’t true, People magazine confirmed.

“I honestly don’t know what she’s having,” her rep, Leslie Sloane, told People.

After Spears revealed her pregnancy Tuesday, several British tabloids and New York’s Daily News reported that Sloane had inadvertently let slip the baby’s gender.

However, Sloane denies the stories, telling People, “It’s untrue. The Daily News reported something I never said. They made a mistake. I honestly don’t know what she’s having.”

On Tuesday Spears, 23, revealed her pregnancy with a posting on BritneySpears.com saying, “The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There are reports that I was in the hospital this weekend, Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.”

This will be the couple’s first child together. Federline has two children from a previous relationship.

Nugent slays ‘em at NRA meeting

With an assault weapon in each hand, rocker and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent urged National Rifle Association members to be “hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense,” reports The Associated Press.

Speaking at the NRA’s annual convention Saturday, Nugent said each NRA member should try to enroll 10 new members over the next year and associate only with other members.

“Let’s next year sit here and say, “Holy smokes, the NRA has 40 million members now,”‘ he said. “No one is allowed at our barbecues unless they are an NRA member. Do that in your life.”

Nugent sang and played a guitar painted with red and white stripes for the crowd at Houston’s downtown convention center.

He drew the most cheers when he told gun owners they should never give up their right to bear arms and should use their guns to protect themselves if needed.

“Remember the Alamo! Shoot “em!” he screamed to applause. “To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want “em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot “em.”
