PARIS – The Mollyockett Chorus of Norway, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, under the direction of Pat Fleck, will present a dress rehearsal of their competition presentation as they prepare for the annual Sweet Adelines Region One Competition in Springfield, Mass.

The special performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the auditorium of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris. The public is invited to attend the evening of barbershop harmony as the chorus presents its show prior to the competition on May 6 through 8.

Two quartets will also sing. Four on a Match and Meant To Be will entertain with selections of four-part harmony. Meant To Be will compete in the Region One Quartet Competition. Members are Jessica Church, who sings lead; Michelle Cooper, baritone; Bonnie Fox, bass; and Jan Ward, tenor.

Members of Four on a Match, whose repertoire includes vintage 1940s songs, are Alda Reynolds, lead; Rose Fredericks, baritone; Suzanne Bartlett, bass; and Darlene Glover, tenor.

The Mollyockett Chorus has been rehearsing in preparation, receiving coaching from Master Directors Chris Ferguson of the international award-winning Royal River Chorus, and Marion Devokaitis of the award-winning Sounds of New England Chorus.

Sweet Adelines is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. The Mollyockett Chapter was chartered in 1996 and is comprised of singers from throughout the towns and communities of Androscoggin and Oxford counties.
