RUMFORD – The newest performer to join the Waite Family Benefit Day is River Valley’s own Randy Judkins. He will be doing his act at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at Black Mountain. This will be part of the 12-4 Family Fun Time.

The schedule opens with the Off and Running Band followed by Charlie Who and Jimmy Gallant. Wing Nuts will perform from 4 to 5 p.m. as the auction is prepared. There are games, face painting, food sales, Moon Walk and a Chinese Auction. Admission is free to the grounds and for all performances. A continual time of performances, activities and fun for the whole family is planned.

Adult time for the day will begin with the auction at 5, led by Channel 6 sports commentator Lee Goldberg. It will include such items as a heart-shaped tourmaline necklace, a fireplace and season passes.

Auction paddles will be on sale from 4 to 5 p.m.

After the auction a dance will be held with music provided by E&I Band.

Tickets are $5 and on sale now at Bartashes and Hannaford.

Any community members who would like to volunteer time during the day to help out with the many events should call Denise Richard at 562-8613.

Private donations can be made directly to The Waite Family Fund at the Oxford Federal Credit Union.
