RUMFORD – The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will present “The Essentials of College Planning” workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the University College at Rumford/Mexico, 13 Brown St., Mexico, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the Rumford Career Center, 35 Congress St.
The workshop will be presented by MEOC Adviser Christy Le. Call 1-800-281-3703 for registration.
Adults considering college are invited to participate in the free workshop sponsored by the Maine Educational Opportunity Center.
The center helps adult students to overcome class, social, academic and cultural barriers to higher education. MEOC services include assistance in choosing a college, tutoring, personal and financial counseling, career counseling, assistance in applying to college, workplace and college visits and assistance in applying for financial aid. All center services are free.
