FARMINGTON – Virginia is a domestic short-haired brown tabby who came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter at six weeks of age on April 26, 2004. The staff has found her to be a wonderful friend. They feel she would be content in any home where she would be able to stretch out her limbs .

Virginia has always been around other cats and would do well in a home that has other cats. She is an amazing lap cat always waiting for one to be vacant where she can get the attention she deserves. She would brighten up anyone’s day and give a home a new pleasant atmosphere.

Since Virginia and another cat, Paintbrush, have both been there for a year at the end of this month, the staff is throwing a party in their honor and invites the public to visit the shelter from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, to enjoy some refreshments and meet these two special girls. They also hope visitors will say hello to the Rolling Stones as they have been at the shelter since Nov. 19, 2003.

New dogs at the shelter include a male black lab mix with white on chest, who came in from School Street in Wilton and a neutered male black lab mix with white on chest wearing black nylon collar, who came from New Sharon.
