LIVERMORE – The Livermore Republicans will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Brettuns Community Building.

This is an organizational meeting for the Livermore Republicans, who plan to elect officers and county delegates, form a committee to draft bylaws, discuss the Androscoggin County Republican June meeting in Livermore and the Androscoggin County Republican May yard sale and hold a session of brainstorming for meeting topics and fund-raising events.

Members of the Livermore Falls, Turner and Sabattus committees have been invited to attend and share their experiences in organizing their town committees.

Trout available

FARMINGTON – Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District is providing trout for sale, as it has for over the past 30 years, to private pond owners.

Rainbow trout, supplied by Dead River Fish Hatchery, are from 4 to 10 inches long, and brook and brown trout from Mountain Spring Trout Farm and Pierce Associates are 5 to 7 inches long.

Orders must be placed by Wednesday, May 4, with a pickup time/date of 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 6. Stop by the district office and pick up an order form and stocking permit application. For more information, call 778-4279.

Trail riders

SALEM – The Mount Abram Trail Riders will hold their first ATV meeting of the season at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in the library at Mount Abram High School. Anyone interested in ATV recreation is invited.

FARMINGTON – The Thursday, May 5, supper meeting of Farmington Emblem Club 460 will honor the club’s Citizen of the Year for 2005. This year the club has selected two deserving residents, one a youth and one an adult. Each year members of the club bring in names of deserving people from the area and after hearing their qualifications, the members vote on the person of their choice. This is the first year the club has chosen two.

Blood pressure

RANGELEY – Free blood pressure clinics have been scheduled at the Rangeley Townhouse Community Room from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4; Tuesday, May 10; Wednesday, May 18; and Tuesday, May 24.

RANGELEY – The public is invited to a free “Move-A-Bunch Before Lunch” session from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Townhouse dining room. The program is sponsored by the Rangeley Region Rehab and Wellness Pavilion.
