RUMFORD – The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary’s yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the former VA Building on Lincoln Avenue adjacent to the hospital campus.
Auxiliary members are asking for donations, accepting anything except major appliances and clothing. All proceeds will go directly to Rumford Hospital to support the annual appeal and other charitable purposes.
Furniture from two local homes, office furniture and books have already been collected. “We’ve had some very, very generous contributions to the yard sale already,” said Auxiliary President Barbara Belanger.
Members of the Auxiliary will be at the VA Building every Friday afternoon in May prior to the sale to accept items.
They will also pick up items, if necessary. People wishing to have items picked up should call Belanger at 364-3648 and leave a message if the phone is not answered.
