WOODSTOCK – Richard and Andrea Wing of Woodstock were honored on March 26 to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. A reception was held at the Locke Mills Legion Hall in Greenwood and was planned by their son, Rick Wing, and daughter, Kellie Wing, and granddaughters, Sarah Lynch and Jessie Hart, and friend, Sally Wing.

The couple was married on March 20, 1955, at the home of their sister in New Gloucester. They have resided in Woodstock all their married life. In addition fo their two children, they have four grandchildren, Sarah Lynch and husband, Phil, Jessie Hart and friend, Kyle Komulainen, Doug Wing and Ryan Wing. They also have a great-grandson, Zachary Lynch.

Mr. Wing is the son of the late Elmer and Catherine Wing, and Mrs. Wing is the daughter of the late Leon L. and Helen Poland.

Over 150 guests attended the event, which included music for dancing and listening. A buffet was served, along with an anniversary cake. The couple received many gifts. Memories and photos were placed in a picture collage.

The couple was surprised by a limousine, which came to their home to pick them up and take them to the party. Guests attended from several towns in the area.
