KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The wedding of Shannon Michelle St. Hilaire and Jason Wooten was held at 5:30 p.m. on March 12 at the Ohana Keuhou Resort in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The Rev. Patrick Thompson officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Wooten is the daughter of Janelle and Steve Mathieu of Lewiston and Bob and Shelly St. Hilaire of Colorado. Mr. Wooten is the son of Hubbard and Beth Wooten of Virginia Beach, Va.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a simple strapless long white gown with traditional Hawaiian lei and a crown on her head. The couple exchanged the marital leis during the ceremony.

Elizabeth Burroughs of Virginia, friend, was matron of honor and Trisha Morgan of Virginia, another friend, was bridesmaid.

Brian Miller of Virginia, a friend, performed the duties of best man and Steve Powers of Virginia, another friend, was an usher.

The two brothers of the bride, Robert and Michael St. Hilaire, escorted her where her father waited to walk her down the aisle.

A reception followed at the Ohana Keuhou Beach Resort. The couple is residing in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

The bride is currently a student at the University of Hawaii and previously attended Virginia-Wesleyan College. She is employed as office manager at Kona Fabricator.

The bridegroom recently obtained his captain’s license and is employed as a sports fisherman on the Bite-ME Charters.
