Do we keep it or donate it to a worthy cause? That was the question that Justin Blouin, Senior Class President at Lisbon High School asked himself after the class of 2005 won $200 for placing first in the annual LHS winter carnival class act.
After a short discussion with the senior advisors and class officers, Justin decided to pass it on. The decision to donate the money was easy. The hard question was who to give it to, and where would it get the most “most bang for the buck.”
It was decided that the class would donate it to a local charity-LACO (Lisbon Area Christian Outreach) was mentioned and everyone quickly agreed that was an excellent choice.
After discussions with LACO volunteers, the class was informed that if the donation was made before the end of March that it would be matched by the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Lewiston. The class quickly made arrangements to meet with the LACO volunteers to finalize the donations.
