SOUTH PARIS – Jennifer Libby and Sarah Colby, who purchased the Black Sheep Bakery, have reopened it as the Rising Sun Cafe and Bakery.

Colby was the baker at the Black Sheep and continues her role as the head baker.

Libby, her business partner, has worked in Bethel at the Good Food Store for the past five years as the natural-foods grocery buyer. She has many years of customer service experience, working with local vendors and natural food knowledge. She greets and waits on customers.

New at the bakery is Benbow coffee from a coffee roaster in Bar Harbor. Another new item is wheat-free and gluten-free bread.

For customers with a sweet tooth, Sweet Essentials goods are offered. That local company specializes in “decadent” cheesecakes, truffles and anything chocolate.

Customers can order dessert platters, and meat and cheese platters ahead of time to be picked up.

Rising Sun Cafe and Bakery’s hours are Tuesday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
