CHESTERVILLE – The annual meeting of the Chesterville Hill Cemetery Association will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Farmington Falls Fire Station.

Takeout supper

NEW SHARON – A takeout bean supper will be held Saturday, May 7, at the Congregational Church Vestry. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to noon. Meals are $12 and may be pre-ordered by calling Mary at 778-2366 or Leona at 778-3812. The day of the sale, call the church vestry at 778-2417.

Pork dinner

NEW SHARON – A Mother’s Day roast pork dinner will be served from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 8, at the New Sharon Methodist Church annex. The meal also includes mashed potatoes, vegetable and homemade pie. Cost is $6.50 and proceeds will benefit the Mason’s building fund.

WILTON – Friendship Squares will hold the final dance of the season starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Cushing School. The caller will be Marty VanWart and the round dance cuer will be Carol Stewart. All are welcome.

Cheering tryouts

FARMINGTON – Mount Blue youth cheering tryouts for grades two, three four and five will be held, rain or shine, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 18, at the Mallett School.

Tryouts in Wilton for grades two, three, four and five will be held, rain or shine, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, and Thursday, May 26, at the Academy Hill School.

Plant sale

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue Garden Club will sponsor its annual plant sale starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 14, in Meetinghouse Park on Main Street across from the courthouse.

Mission talk

OQUOSSOC – Marcia and Rick Baker, having recently returned to Rangeley from a medical mission to the Amazon, will take members and friends of the Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association to that part of the world via film and discussion at a Thursday, May 19, meeting.

A 5:30 p.m. potluck meal will precede a short business meeting so those attending are asked to bring either a main dish, salad or dessert to share.

The meeting will be held at the clubhouse on Old Skiway Drive.
