RUMFORD – Rumford Hospital honored its volunteers at a luncheon during National Volunteer Week. Following lunch, hospital CEO John Welsh addressed the group, thanking the volunteers and updating them on the building and renovation program.
Welsh also presented awards for the most volunteer hours to Effie Waite, 704 hours, and Sylvia Arsenault, 346.
He announced the names of all volunteers with more than 100 hours of service during the last year. In addition to Waite and Arsenault, those volunteers are Pat Hopkins, 207; Rose Reed, 199; Sonya Robinson, 181; and Jean Tyler, 114.
