BUXTON (AP) – State and local police were investigating a shooting Friday that left an unidentified man wounded.

Maine state police spokesman Stephen McCausland said the victim’s injury was not believed to be life-threatening.

An identification was not immediately available.

McCausland said the shooting was reported in late afternoon and that the victim had been taken to Maine Medical Center. McCausland said the shooting occurred in a farmhouse near the Buxton-Gorham town line.
