AUBURN – The Good Shepherd Food-Bank will sponsor a housewares open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at 3121 Hotel Rd. There will be food, fun, door prizes and drawings. Tours of the food-bank will also be available.
Pampered Chef has teamed with America’s Second Harvest in a “Round Up From The Heart” program. Kitchen show hosts encourage guests to round up their orders to the nearest dollar or more. The funds raised are donated to affiliated food banks across the nation.
The Good Shepherd Food-Bank is Maine’s largest salvage food distributor, serving all 16 counties and feeding more than 70,000 people each month. Every dollar donated to the food bank can provide more than $12.50 in food for the hungry. Those wishing more information should call 782-3554.
