BRUNSWICK – The wedding of Erin Giggey and David Adalbert Guay was held at 3 p.m. on June 26 at the First Parish Church in Brunswick. The Rev. Ray Richard officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Guay is the daughter of Michael and Caryl Giggey of Topsham. Mr. Guay is the son of Raymond and Diane Guay of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown in A-line style and carried a bouquet of blue delphinium, purple lisianthus, lavender freesia, magenta phlox and dark purple larkspur.

Kim DeVoursney and Lauren Mazzotti, childhood friends of the bride, were maids of honor and bridesmaids were Dawn Theriault, sister of the bridegroom, and Adrienne Oakley, college friend of the bride. Emma Theriault and Lauren Theriault, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Kyle Davies, college friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Matthew Giggey, brother of the bride, Adam Theriault, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Edward Goldin, college friend of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Captain Daniel Stone Inn in Brunswick, after which the couple traveled to Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.

The bride is a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham and Bowdoin College in Brunswick. She is employed by the CDC to work on an arsenic and bathing study with the Maine Bureau of Health in Augusta.

The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and Bates College. He received a master’s degree in marine biology at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in San Diego, Calif. He is employed as laboratory instructor at Bowdoin College.
