AUBURN — Melissa Bradstreet had a double and a triple – the only extra base hits of the game for either team – to lead Medomak Valley to an 11-1 rout of Edward Little in KVAC softball action Saturday.

Bradstreet finished the game 3-for-4 and Amanda Ludwig, Sarah Lee and Jen Ojala each contributed two hits each for the Panthers (6-5). Ludwig earned the win for Medomak, scattering six hits and one run over seven innings.

Kendra Butcher was saddled with the loss for Edward Little (2-7), giving up eight runs over a span of three innings.

Lacrosse

Lewiston 12, Deering 10

PORTLAND – Kelsey Varney scored Lewiston’s first three goals to send the Blue Devils to a 12-10 triumph over Deering.

Lewiston (6-2) built a 6-3 lead, only to have the Rams (2-4) rally to tie the game by halftime. The Devils extended the lead back to three goals before holding off the Rams.

Caitlin Anthoine, Marina MacDonald and Luca Jacobsen scored two goals apiece for Lewiston, while Mallory Long chipped in with four assists. Mary Leblanc stopped seven shots in net.

Abby Walton led Deering with a hat trick.
