LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met May 9 at Murray Hall with 44 members present. Prior to the meeting the group dined on a casserole meal.

Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces.

Mary Groleau led the group as they sang “Mothers.” John DeMoras was welcomed as a guest. It was reported that Joan Knapp is still on the sick list. Members welcomed back included Shirley Toncer, Eugene Pomerleau, Marilyn DeSoto and Gail Lachance.

A card of thanks from Maggie Dufour was read and the group received a card of thanks from the Androscoggin Home and Health Hospice in memory of Lunda Henry.

Next week will be the last chance for members to sign up for the monthly meal from SeniorsPlus. A Chinese auction consisting of food items only will also be held.

The 50-50 was won by Blanche Bilodeau. The meeting was adjourned and cards were played.
