LEWISTON – Xi Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Lewiston-Auburn, recently honored Rita Culleton with the Garden Circle of Friendship for her 50 years in Beta Sigma Phi.
Members joined with Laureate Kappa at the Ramada Inn to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of Beta Sigma Phi, an international service and social organization for women. Xi Gamma honored Crystal Coady and Laureate Kappa honored Carol Snow as Women of the Year.
Xi Gamma’s service projects have included a visit to the Chapman House in Auburn to paint the residents’ nails and contributing toward care packages for troops in Iraq. Members will assist with the Make A Wish Walkathon on May 26.
New officers for 2005-2006 are: president, Paulette Crowley; vice president, Connie Chretien; recording secretary, Peggy Shaw; corresponding secretary, Lori Hart; treasurer, Janine Pelchat. City Council representatives will be Paulette Crowley, Connie Chretien and Rita Culleton.
