Reading series

NORWAY – The first in a series of three readings and book discussions is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the Norway Memorial Library.

Jeanette Baldridge will facilitate the series and the first book to be discussed will be “Refuge” by Terry Tempest Williams.

Williams, a naturalist and writer from northern Utah, writes about the deaths from cancer of her mother and grandmother and other women. Parallel to that account she describes the changes in bird life at the sanctuaries dotting the shores of Great Salt Lake as water levels rise during an unusually wet season and threaten their nesting grounds.

Books are available at the Norway Memorial Library. Register at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 743-5309.
