LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met May 16 at Murray Hall with 36 members present. Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces.

Mary Groleau led the group to sing, “In the Garden.” Blanche Newell, Yvette Sampson and Patti Couture are on the sick list. John DeMoras is a new member. It was noted that on June 12, Lois Gordon and her husband will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

After the meeting, the group held the monthly Chinese auction, which consisted of food items, and it was successful.

Members will have their monthly meal on Monday, May 23, from SeniorPlus that consists of fish nuggets, macaroni and cheese, spinach and biscuit. Following the meal, beano and cards will be available.

It was decided that when the group reconvenes in September they will have a casserole meal.

The 50-50 was won by Cindy Hebert. The meeting was adjourned the group played cards.
