BETHEL – The Bethel Historical Society will sponsor the 26th annual Faye Taylor Memorial Art Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28. The show will feature the art of students in SAD 44’s grades one through six.

The topic this year is “Maine Barns” since the society will host the Smithsonian Institution exhibit, “Barn Again: Celebrating an American Icon,” later this summer.

The society’s annual St. Never’s Day will also be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 28 at Director Stan Howe’s house at 18 Broad St.

Items in good saleable condition are still needed for the sale, but no clothing or used computer equipment. Items may be left at any time on the back porch of the society’s O’Neil Robinson House, 10 Broad, or at Howe’s house on his side porch.

Anyone wishing to have items picked up should call the society office at 824-2908. Volunteers are also needed to help with the sale. Anyone wishing to give some time should also call the office.

More information about the society and its activities may be obtained by calling 824-2908, 1-800-824-2910, e-mailing: info@bethelhistorical.org or visiting www.bethelhistorical.org.
