NORWAY – Norway Downtown Revitalization is announcing the beginning of its second Best Foot Forward Contest.
The event is all about making Main Street look its best for the summer tourist season by adding as many plants and flowers as possible. Any business or resident on Main Street between the Lake Store and Aubuchon Hardware and any business or resident in the Paris/Fair/Main Street block may participate.
Those who sign up will receive a 10 percent discount coupon to be used at several local greenhouses and garden centers throughout the summer for purchasing planting materials.
At the end of the summer, judges will tour the participating businesses and residences and select winners for first, second, third place for businesses and one winner for residents.
This year, all plantings must be in by June 6 to qualify for the contest. The judging will take place in mid-August.
