TURNER – SAD 52 Adult Education, celebrating 25 years of lifelong learning, has announced that the summer catalog will be in the mail to residents of Greene, Leeds and Turner soon.

There are the usual academic classes in math, chemistry, biology, government, world studies and U.S. history, plus a wide variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, field hockey, cross country, cheering and track and field.

In addition, there are many new offerings: decorated jute rope; From the Ground Up, a variety of model building opportunities; grandchild memory book; introduction to fly tying; Inspired to be Great Life Skills; Leadership Quest; and tumbling camp.

SAD 52 Adult and Community Education will offer Introduction to Creative Memories Scrapbooking on Saturday, June 11. The one-day workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Adult Learning Complex, 486 Turner Center Road.

With hands-on assistance, Athena Bussiere and Angie Banks will show how to quickly and easily turn those boxes of photos and memorabilia into keepsake, scrapbook photo albums.

The instructors will spend the morning teaching and creating a page for a scrapbook.

The afternoon will be spent working on scrapbook pages. Participants should bring several favorite photos to class.
