LEWISTON – The following cases were closed recently in 8th District Court.

Theodore J. Wallace, 28, Dryden, charged with assault and criminal mischief on Dec. 11, first charge dismissed; found guilty on second charge, sentenced to 48 hours and $137 restitution.

Daniel P. Wands, 24, Lewiston, charged with possession of marijuana on Nov. 6, fined $200 by default.

Lawrence J. Ward Jr., 23, Lewiston, charged with theft of services on Feb. 14 and Feb. 28, found guilty on both charges, fined $75 and $112.59 restitution on first charge; fined $75 and $57.59 restitution on second charge.

Frank Waterman, 37, Freeport, charged with operating a snowmobile on a public way on Feb. 11, found guilty, fined $100.

Amanda Lynne White, 24, Auburn, charged with failure to register a vehicle on Dec. 11, found guilty, fined $75.

Christopher White, 22, Auburn, charged with unlawful sexual touching, theft by unauthorized use of property, operating while license suspended or revoked, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, and failing to make an oral or written accident report on March 26, found guilty on all charges, sentenced to 30 days for each on first and second charges; fined $250 on third charge; sentenced to two days for each on fourth and fifth charges.

David A. Wilder, 32, Athens, Ga., charged with attaching false motor vehicle plates on Feb. 13, 1996, found guilty, fined $100.

Jamela Wilson, 27, Lewiston, charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and two counts of unlawful possession of a scheduled drug on Nov. 26, and violating condition of release, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and unlawful possession of a schedule drug on Dec. 9, and assault on Dec. 14, and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating condition of release on Dec. 26, first, second and third charges dismissed; found guilty on fourth charge, scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 22; fifth and sixth charges dismissed; found guilty on seventh, eighth and ninth charges, scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 22.

Phillip William Wing, 33, Litchfield, charged with failure to register a vehicle on Dec. 24, found guilty, fined $75.

Patricia A. Wolfe, 19, Lewiston, charged with allowing minor to possess or consume liquor on Jan. 2, found guilty, fined $200.

Richard L. Wood, 30, charged with passing a stopped school bus on Nov. 23, dismissed.

Pennie Woods, 40, Auburn, charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Feb. 8, found guilty, fined $100.

Peter Woods, 36, Minot, charged with being a habitual motor vehicle offender on Feb. 8, transferred to Superior Court.

Joel W. Worden, 25, Leeds, charged with operating after habitual offender revocation on Jan. 2, transferred to Superior Court.
