TURNER – SAD 52 Adult and Community Education, in collaboration with St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, has announced a six-week program led by John Jenkins. The “Inspired To Be Great” series will begin from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave., Lewiston.

Participants will learn how to create great relationships, which create great families and in turn create great communities. They will explore the principles of being personally great and teach how to support others to do the same.

Cost is $90 a person or $75 each for family or couple. To register or for more information, call SAD 52 Adult Education at 225-3478 or e-mail haraumi@aol.com.

Adult and Community Education will also present “Leadership Quest” from July 18 to 21. The four-day adventurous expedition is for students in grades four through six and seven through 12.

They will join trained facilitators in the fun and challenges of outdoor adventure activities. Using humor, props, games, initiatives and the newly built Giles Landry Leadership Ropes Course, participants will practice leadership and problem-solving in a small group.

The overall goal is to provide an experience that promotes cooperation versus competition where children build confidence, recognize strengths and are part of a valued group.

Preregistration is required and due by June 17. Call the SAD 52 Adult Education office at 225-3478 or e-mail haraumi@aol.com.
