MEXICO – Requests for the Mexico special commemorative stamp cancellation should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside a larger stamped envelope, and should be sent to: Postmaster Jack Kaubris, Attn: Oxford County Bicentennial Cancellation, 7 Riverside Ave., Mexico, ME 04257.

Those wishing to obtain a cancellation for the Oxford County bicentennial, which is being released June 11, should send their self-addressed, stamped envelope inside a larger stamped envelope to Postmaster, Oxford County Bicentennial Station, 39 Tremont St., Paris, ME 04271-9998.

Mexico-Rumford public and private school fifth-graders submitted their designs for consideration for Mexico’s special cancellation. A photograph of the design was incorrectly submitted for a story on B1 in Monday’s River Valley edition; it was not the winning cancellation designed by Jamaica Ford, but was the Oxford County bicentennial cancellation. Cancellations are available, through the mail, for 30 days after the actual cancellation station date.
