LISBON – Hannaford Store Manager Chris Farago presented a check for $2,701 to the Lisbon Community School on April 25.

Part of the check is a $1,000 education grant that was awarded for raising the most dollars through the Hannaford Helps Schools program of all schools registered with the Topsham Hannaford.

Under the terms of the program, that ran from Sept. 4 to Dec. 4, shoppers could raise funds for local schools by purchasing certain products. More than 1,700 schools in five states participated and more than $900,0000 was raised.

Lisbon Community School was Topsham Hannaford’s education grant winner.
