OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Kay House Meeting Room on Pleasant Street.

Following the business meeting, Margaret Ellsworth, recently honored for her 60 years as a member of the Anderson-Staples Post 112, American Legion, Auxiliary, will speak about the American Legion in Oxford.

Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited to attend.

Club to visit

WEST PARIS – The Great Falls Model Railroad Club will be at the West Paris Old Home Days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 3, 4 and 5, in the West Paris Grange Hall. Members will bring the larger Maine Garden Railroad demonstration with them.

At the same time, the grange will have a craft and food sale, and Bob Perry will be in the entranceway with his wood carving demonstration.

Cemetery group

OTISFIELD – There will be a special meeting of the Elmwood Cemetery Association at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road. Topics of discussion will include renewing two CDs and an archway for the cemetery. All are welcome.
