FARMINGTON – Joseph and Charlene Slaver of Farmington are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amber Rose Slaver, to Jacob D. Turner, son of Mark and Joy Turner of Jay.
Miss Slaver is a 2005 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and will be attending Husson College in the fall. She is also a five-year volunteer at Franklin Memorial Hospital, recently honored for 300 hours.
Mr. Turner is a 2004 graduate of Jay High School and is currently attending the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in community health. He also plays for the UMF Beavers baseball team and received the Golden Glove Award at Jay High School in 2004.
The wedding will be held at Bean’s Corner Baptist Church in Jay, the date not yet selected.
