LEWISTON – Lewiston City Council meeting, Lewiston Youth Advisory Council member Kelin Sevit accepted a $100 donation for the group’s electronic community message board fund-raising effort at the May 17 Lewiston City Council meeting.

The donation was presented by Linda Hertell, CEO of Richardson Hollow Associates. Hertell praised the youth council’s continued efforts to enhance the community.

In January 2005, the council voted to partner with the Lewiston School Department regarding the initiative and committed to raise as much as possible toward the $40,000 price tag for two electronic community message boards at the entrances of Lewiston High School, 156 East Ave.

Others wishing to donate may forward checks payable to “Lewiston Youth Advisory Council” to Lewiston City Hall, 27 Pine St., Lewiston ME 04240.
