AUBURN – Court Street Baptist Church will have a pre-vacation Bible School session from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Great Falls Plaza.

The session will consist of making crafts, listening to Christian music and Bible stories. Snacks will be provided. Preregistration and signup for van transportation for the main Vacation Bible School, to be held during the last week in June, will also be accepted.

Lodge meeting

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 6, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St., for snacks provided by Beulah Allen and Millie Bates.

A regular meeting will take place at 7 p.m. when a Flag Day program will take place under Allen’s direction. A walk for diabetes, which is another project of Rebekah Assembly President Roxanne Andrews, will also take place.

Plans will be finalized for the public baked bean supper that will take place at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home, 85 Caron Lane, from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18. For more information, call Esther Tucker, 998-5359.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on May 31 at the Multi-Purpose Center. North/South winners in Flight A were: first, Martine Begert and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Fred Letourneau and Jeanine Kivus; third, Paul Sherman and Richard Balian.

Flight B winners were: first, Paul Sherman and Richard Balian; second, Charles Bartlett and Allie Boyer. Winners in Flight C were Paul Sherman and Richard Balian.

East/West winners in Flight A were: first, Leslie Buzzell and Nancy Lindgren; second, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; third, Ray Sirois and Ron Reynolds. Winners in Flight B and C were Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements.

Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Multi-Purpose Center. A partner is guaranteed.

The club also met on June 1 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Don Smith and Katie Love; second, Fred Letourneau and Lucille Theriault; third, Ron and Connie Reynolds; fourth, Mike and Pat Quinn.
