LISBON – The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee will hold informational and comment sessions at 6:30 p.m. on the next two Wednesdays.

The meeting on June 15 will be held at the Town Office meeting room; the June 22 meeting will be held at the MTM Center on School Street.

The Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1994 and is the primary vision and planning document for the town’s future development, including zoning changes. The Steering Committee is charged with developing a 10-year plan. Ideas and input are sought and encouraged.

The Comprehensive Plan addresses the economy, housing, public facilities and services, fiscal capacity, transportation, recreational and natural resources, historical and archeological resources, population changes, and current and future land-use patterns.

The committee is charged with developing and recommending a plan to be voted on at a future town meeting. Written comments are welcome. Please send them to Town of Lisbon, Attn: Daniel Feeney, 300 Lisbon St., Lisbon, ME 04250.
