WATERFORD – New children’s and young adult books are announced for the summer at the Waterford Library.

“The City of Ember,” Jeanne Duprau; “A Cub Explores,” Pamela Love; “The Curse of Ravenscourt: a Samantha Mystery,” Sarah Masters Buckey; “Danger at the Zoo: a Kit Mystery,” Kathleen Ernst; “Finders Keepers?,” Robert Arnett.

Also, “George Washington’s Teeth,” Deborah Chandra and Madeleine Comora; “Granny Torelli Makes Soup,” Sharon Creech; “Hana’s Suitcase: a True Story,” Karen Levine; “How I Became a Pirate,” Melinda Long; “Keeper of the Night,” Kimberly Willis Holt.

“Little One Step,” Simon James; “The Man Who Made Time Travel,” Kathryn Lasky; “Runny Babbitt,” Shel Silverstein; “The Shape Game,” Anthony Browne; “The Silent Stranger: a Kaya Mystery,” Janet Shaw; “A Spy on the Home Front: a Molly Mystery,” Alison Hart.

The library is open to all residents of Waterford from 2 to 6 p.m. Mondays, 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to noon Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
