RUMFORD – The Lodge of Elks 862 will conduct a Flag Day ceremony at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Veteran’s Park at the end of Congress Street.
Grand Exalted Ruler James McQuillan said, “Part of the opening rituals of our order speak eloquently about the relationship between the Order of Elks and the flag of our country. During times when the flag has been desecrated, both in our own country and abroad, Elks have stood tall in honoring the flag – and the freedoms it represents – and in honoring those who have sacrificed to protect and defend it.
