RUMFORD – Two students at Rumford Elementary School were winners in the Elks Lodge’s drug awareness poster contest. Sarah Soubble won first prize and Zaraya Simard won third. Exalted Ruler Sandee Welch, presented each with a prize bag that included a cash award.
Circle meeting
RUMFORD – St Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Parish Center on Franklin Street. Committee will be Leola Lecours, Bernadette Coulombe, Sally Boucher and Rita Towle.
Summer sale
MEXICO – A Super-Sized Summer Sale at the Greens will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Green Church, 163 Main St. There will be all kinds of items on the lawn, including clothing, appliances, furniture, jewelry, puzzles, children’s toys and books.
Inside the church upstairs in the conference room there will be a bake sale, including cookies, breads, brownies, jams and jellies and fudge. All the proceeds will go to the church. For more information call 364-8603.
