FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – Mike Skinner claimed another NASCAR trucks pole at Texas Motor Speedway with a fast lap of 182.902 mph Thursday night, breaking his track qualifying record set last fall.

It is Skinner’s third pole this season, the only three Toyota poles. He has 20 poles in 88 career races.

Rick Crawford will start his Ford alongside Skinner on the front row Friday night after a qualifying lap of 182.076 mph. David Starr (191.971 mph) will start his Chevrolet third at his home track, followed by Johnny Benson and Bill Lester in Toyotas.

With Danica Patrick grabbing most of the attention for the IndyCar Series race at the same track this weekend, Deborah Renshaw qualified ninth for the trucks race at 181.020 mph.

Renshaw will be the first female driver with a top-10 start in the trucks series since Tammy Jo Kirk at Portland eight years ago.

After winning the Texas pole at 182.174 mph last October, Skinner had to start in the back of the field because of an engine change. He still led 17 laps before finishing 11th.
