PARIS – Two juvenile boys were taken into custody Thursday after an incident involving a weapon at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School during the school day, Paris police officer Ray Parr said.

No one was hurt, he said, and the weapon was recovered. Parr would not give any details on the weapon.

School Resource Officer Zane Loper handled the incident, which is still under investigation, Parr said.

He referred further questions to Chief David Verrier and Sgt. Michael Dailey, who late Thursday authorized Parr to release the initial information on the incident.
