Dear Sun Spots: Do you have any information about when and where the 25-year high school reunion for the LHS Class of 1980 might be held? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. – No Name, Lewiston.
Answer: The following appeared in the June 1, 2005, column: After much searching, Sun Journal photography editor Russ Dillingham, an LHS graduate himself, tracked some information down. According to Dillingham, plans have been going slowly, however the Lewiston High School Class of 1980 will be having a reunion this fall in either late September or October, possibly even early November. For more information, please contact Mark Anthoine at (207) 777-1478.
Dear Sun Spots: I have a small male dog, Bandit, 8 years old, 18 lbs, who is part Pekingese/Shih Tzu/poodle. He is well-trained, needs a home that has more time to give then I do as a single active woman. Dog and many extras such as bowls, leash, harness, dog food, grooming supplies, and kennel are included. Please call Jennifer 946-3700 after 6 p.m. or leave a message, please. – Jennifer, No Town.
Dear Sun Spots: I have a new 35mm camera and would like to learn how to better use my macro and wide angle lenses. Thanks. – Frances C. Miller, No Town.

Sun Spots: I recently went by “The Shop” – a small engine repair place at 1930 Lisbon Road – to find out it was closed! Can you find out the name of the former owner and if he moved to another location? We bought a lawn mower from him last year and were going to bring him other things for repair. He was such a nice, genuine guy! Sad to see the shop close. – Jan Bureau, Lewiston.
Dear Sun Spots: Marc’s Upholstery which was located at 73 Scribner Blvd., Lewiston, is no longer open. Sadly, the owner has passed away. – Diane, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: In response to a letter in Sun Spots on June 11, 2005: This is one of our favorite recipes:
Scalloped scallops ingredients: 1 pint of scallops, 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs, 2/3 cup cream or top milk (I use skim milk), salt and pepper to taste. Method: Wash and pick over scallops. Melt butter and add the crumbs. Mix well. Put a layer of crumbs (about 1/3 of the crumbs) in buttered baking dish, add half of the scallops, half of the cream (or milk), salt and pepper. Repeat, and cover with buttered crumbs. Bake in a 350 degree oven until crumbs are brown, about 25 minutes. Serves 4. (This recipe is from “Maine’s Jubilee Cookbook” compiled and edited by Loana Shibles and Annie Rogers). – Shirley Keene, Auburn.
