TOPSHAM – The Hillsman Chorus will participate in the All Maine Sing at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18, when men’s barbershop choruses from all over Maine will join for an evening of barbershop singing. Sunday sermon

PARIS – “Patriarchy vs Love: God and Your Neighbor as Yourself” will be the sermon title at the Father’s Day Sunday morning service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. The 10 a.m. service will be led by Silver Moore-Leamon.

Moore-Leamon will discuss the opportunities that men “have to act as bridges between the two cultures now at seemingly intractable odds.” Wayne Bridgham will be the soloist. Child care is provided. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. All are welcome.

Tables rented

PARIS – All of the tables for the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church’s scholarship fund-raising craft fair on Saturday, July 23, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School have been rented.

Now plans are under way to make this an event that will be outstanding. There will be a variety of crafts, plants, homecooked foods and white elephant items. The hours will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Chairwoman is Marian Culbert along with other members of the church fund-raising committee. Anyone wanting more information may call 743-9832, Marian Culbert, or the minister, 743-2438, the Rev. Gertrude DeCoteau.
