AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will offer four courses at the Western Maine University and Community College Center during the summer session that begins July 12.

The courses, each of which carries three college credits, are College Writing (ENG101-31), Business Math (MAT101-31), Sociology of the Family (SOC220-31) and Speech (SPE101-31).

Tuition and fees are between $258 and $279 a course; textbooks are additional. Course listings and complete descriptions are available on line at www.cmcc.edu, click “course offerings” at the top of the page.

“We have selected courses to run this summer that can be used in most CM majors; they can also be transferred to most accredited colleges and universities,” said Marc Gosselin, CM director. “So people can take them if they plan to continue their studies at CM or if they are planning to attend another college in the fall – or if they are just interested in taking a course for personal growth.”

In addition to courses this summer, CM will offer six courses in the fall semester; registration begins July 5. CM courses at the Western Maine University and Community College Center are made possible in part by a grant from the Department of Education.
