NORWAY – Healthy Oxford Hills is once again presenting a road race as part of the Norway Summer Festival. This year’s race has been certified by the American Track and Field Association and has been shortened to 5K. Along with the road race, there will be a 5K Fitness Walk and a 1K Kids Run. Registration will begin at 7a.m. Sunday, July 10.

Healthy Oxford Hills is looking for runners, walkers and kids to participate. Members are also seeking volunteers to help conduct the race.

The volunteer jobs range from brief and easy, like standing at an intersection when the runners go by to stop the traffic, and passing cups of water to the runners along the race path. Help is also needed with parking, registration and distributing the awards.

Runners can win one of 30 cash awards or 32 gift certificates worth $2,600 provided by race sponsors. All participants, including volunteers, can win dozens of raffle prizes provided by local businesses.
