HARPSWELL – The wedding of Heather Hollingshead and Joseph Bailey was held on Aug. 14 at the home of the bride’s parents in Harpswell. Gail Gary officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bailey is the daughter of Richard and Deborah Hollingshead of Harpswell. Mr. Bailey is the son of Betty Bailey McLaughlin of Norway and Alan Bailey of West Paris.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Rebecca Hollingshead attended as maid of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Casey Mahon, friend of the bride, Amber Hathaway, sister of the bride, and Sarah Bailey, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Abigail Powers, cousin of the bride, Haleigh Smart, daughter of the bridesmaid, and Casey Mahon.

Serving as best man for his brother was Andrew Bailey and ushers were Doug Wilson, brother of the bridegroom, Alex Bailey, brother of the bridegroom, and Derek Small, friend of the couple. Ring bearers were Colby Hollingshead, son of the couple, and Cameron Sharp, nephew of the bride.

A reception followed at the Harpswell Community Center in Harpswell, after which the couple traveled with their son to North Conway, N.H.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Brunswick High School and is currently attending the University of Southern Maine for her bachelor’s degree in English. She is a stay-at-home mom.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is employed as systems technician at Oakhurst Dairy in Portland.
